SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITY FOR RECOMMENDED IMPROVEMENTS
Table 2 summarizes the Facilities Advisory Committee's assessment of who should be responsible for making the recommended pedestrian crossing and signal improvements. The general principle followed in preparing this tabulation is that the Virginia Department of Transportation, as the agency responsible for all publicly owned streets and highways in Fairfax County, should make all improvements except those considered to be a logical part of a development.
