生活中，誰都會遇到壞消息。在傳達具體的消息之前，我們總要先告訴別人自己身處困境，給大家緩沖的時間。
比起I have a bad news，下面這些說法也很常見。
常見說法：
We are in deep trouble.
我們身陷困境。
We are in a bind.
我們身處困境。
We have gotten ourselves into hot water.
我們已陷入水深火熱之中。
I am in dire straits now.
我已陷入絕境。
I have some disappointing news for you.
我有一些讓你失望的消息。
We have a predicament/problem.
我們遭遇了困境/問題。
Now we’re in a mess.
現(xiàn)在我們一團糟。
What a nuisance!
真討厭！
I have a problem…
我有一個問題...
There is something concerning we need to discuss.
有件事我們需要討論。
We have a dilemma on our hands now.

我有一些令人痛心的消息。

bad news的特殊用法：
此外，我們常用的bad news還有別的用法，即給某人或某物貼上標簽。
例如，如果你知道一個人總是在工作中陷入麻煩或與上級發(fā)生沖突，你可以說：
That person is bad news.
那個人是個大麻煩。
That company is bad news. (Like a person the company has a bad reputation.)
那家公司很差勁。（像一個人一樣，公司的聲譽也很差。）
I’ve heard those cars are bad news. (A type of car that has many problems.)
我聽說那些車很糟糕。（一種有很多問題的汽車。）
